A tendency to do nothing or to remain unchanged is the definition of inertia. Mass is related to Inertia ,because Mass is that quantity that is solely dependent upon the inertia of an object. We used an unbalanced force to move the pie tin. The friction in the water slows down the egg. It connects to Newtons First law because the egg was not in motion and we used a force to put it into motion.
