Egg Drop Analysis

Our expirement for Mr. Morrow was to drop an egg in a container filled with water. All of the stuff we did in this expirement applies to Newton's first law of Motion. First when the egg was sitting on top that was inertia because it would have stayed there unless there was an outside force applied to it. My hand hitting the pie tin was the force applied to that. As the egg was falling that was acceleration from going from zero speed to a falling speed. As the egg hit the water as a coushin it stayed there for a small time then gravity forced it to the bottom of the container.

Egg Drop Analysis

To start out with, we can all of the materials. We then put them together. It goes the water container, the pie tin, paper towel roll, and then the egg. Then as we hit the pie tin, the paper towel roll was pushed becuase of a force moving the egg into the air. The pie tin didn't have that much friction allowing the egg and the paper towel roll to move. The egg then stayed in the air for less then a second which was inertia, and then the gravity went to work.  Inertia is which caused the egg to stay The gravity then pushed it down into the container and was then stopped by the water witch acts as a pillow for the egg. thi.s was the experiement that we did today in class

Egg Drop Lab

When we solved the Egg Drop Challenge, we noticed that many things changed from ours. Since everyone else's seamed the same, I decided to make mine 3 cups high, and it worked. I also tired the first time only two cups because I wanted to see if it works. Sorry I forgot to say how we all did it the same. We all had a beaker, and toilet paper role(with no paper), and a pie. Mine was the only one that did it like that.

The Egg Drop Lab

What happened was the egg was still in inertia. Then we used static friction to move the egg into the water which caused to have acceleration that made the egg flip and moved down ward because gravity pulled down to the water which cause the egg to go down and not go different  directions. Also this prevented the egg from cracking instead of hitting the table instead of the water. Once the egg hit the water it had friction because the egg stopped when it hit the water. When using force with our hand once it hit the tin pan it gave the egg a direct way to hitting the water. In conclusion there was force , static friction , acceleration , gravity were used in the process of the lab. Also using all these in the project help guide the egg into the water without cracking the egg and putting it in a certain direction.

After we had our lab set up our goal was to drop the egg in the water. The egg has more mass which means the egg has a higher inertia. Inertia means the resistance to change in motion. The pie tin and the paper roll have less mass then the egg. When we hit the pie tin out from underneath the egg, the egg dropped into the water.  The pie tin and paper roll flew out of the way when we added force. That caused the egg to fall into the water. The egg didn’t move at first like the other things because of the inertia but the gravity pulled the egg down. The gravity was the outside force that caused the egg to drop.

"Egg Drop Analysis"

The egg wanted to stay in place because it was resting on the paper towel roll, but when we hit the pie tin the egg wanted to stay in place. So once we hit the pie tin the paper towel roll moved out of the way and the egg fell the water because of gravity. The egg had the resistance to move, because of Inertia. It had the most mass out of the paper towel roll, and the pie tin. When we hit the pie tin the bottom slid across the top of the water and it hit the bottom of the paper towel roll and so the result the egg moved out of the way so gravity pulled it down into the water. It was really to Newtons 1st Law because we applied a force to the pie tin and that created friction ,then gravity pulled the egg down.

Egg Drop Inertia I Guess 💦💦😂😂😂

We started out with the egg on top of the structure. Then Ethan hit the pan and the egg fell into the water in the container. The og egg fell into the water because it has more inertia than the other things. once he hit the pan it accelerated and made the toilet paper towel thing accelerate too. they accelerated because of the force he used.
