Egg drop Analysis

Egg drop Analysis

We got some water into a container with a foil/pan and then a toilet paper roll and an egg on top, and then we were supposed to flip it. The egg will probably sit in the air for a second, because of Newton’s lazy law. Inertia- Resistance to change in motion. More mass= more inertia. The egg has to do with inertia.
We thought that if you don’t hit it right it won’t work. You have to hit it straight not up. Putting two toilet paper rolls and then an egg on top works also. It stays in the air a little longer. just a little bit. The egg barely made it in the water.
Two toilet paper rolls side by side and an egg on the top of each on works two. Four rolls of toilet paper side by side and an egg on each one kind of works. it was close. We tried it a second time and it still didn’t work. We found at the end that hitting the pan downwards, works two.
The egg had more mass which means it had more inertia which made it stay there. Gravity is what made it fall into the water.

Egg Inertia thing

The egg was on the top of the toilet paper roll and under that was a tin pie thing and water. When we hit the pie tin pan the egg stayed in the air for a bit. It fell in the water without breaking into the water. The water broke the fall of egg so it wouldn't break. When you hit the pan it flew to the side making the toilet paper roll go along with it. The egg was so dense that as soon as the pan flew that the egg drop into the water. Gravity was the thing that pulled down the egg into the water.

Egg Drop Analysis W/ AJ

We put the pie tin on the top of the bucket of water and put the toilet paper roll on top of the pie tin and then we put the egg on top of toilet paper roll. Then what we did is it the pie tin making the toilet paper roll to move under the egg flying out of the way making the egg land in the water. This happened because of the law of inertia or the lazy law. An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force is Newtons law of motion or lazy law. Inertia is the resistance of acceleration and motion. This is related to mass because since the egg does not weigh that much it did not move from its original spot and went into the water underneath it. We used a force to accelerate the pie tin and the result of this is the pie tin and the toilet paper roll went flying from under the egg and the egg did not move an inch and went into the water. Friction comes into play with this because if there was no friction then the pie tin would keep going the way it got knocked and it would keep going that direction. The egg pertains to newtons 1st law of motion an object at rest tends to stay at rest unless pushed by an unbalanced force because when I hit the pie tin the egg did not move at all so if i did not hit it with an unbalanced force it would stay at rest in the same spot until gravity took it down.

Egg Drop Analysis
When we hit the pie tin out from under the egg, the egg fell into the water. The pie tin flew out of the way and hit the end of the toilet paper roll and flipped the egg into the water. The egg had the most mass so it also had the most inertia. It didn’t move with the other things because of the inertia but the gravity pulled it down. The inertia made it sit still until the gravity pulled it down into the water.

                                                          Anatomical Features

Anatomical features are features that are the same or close to the same. As time goes by reproduction happens and more variations of animals are being born. Some anatomical features are hair, eye color, what the feet look like, what the ears look like, and maybe height difference. When the parents reproduce young, the young gets features from both features. If the dad is tall and the mom has more fur, so when the young is born it could be tall and the fur of its mom. This is how scientists find out evolution. Evolution is a step by step process which involves organisms over time.
